Insect fauna and new species in the Kalahari Desert

At Kuzikus Wildlife Reserve the variety of insect species is fantastic. This project is run for the first time to  collect and identify specimens to the familiy and genus level and display them on an entomology board. There are many different techniques that can be employed to capture athropods, ranging from pitfall traps to the use of pooters, collecting nets, light and malaise traps. We collaborate with natural history museums for this study and hope for some new discoveries! It would also be interesting  to compare differences in species composition.
