BRinK is running projects on different taxonomic groups. We investigate biodiversity patterns and ask different questions about the ecology of species. For this we use various techniques to collect scientific data in the field. These can include capturing life mammals, collection of plants and animals and identify them. This project is desgined for those who are interested in learning about field biology in general and helping local researchers to collect data on specific projects. You will aquire a deeper understanding about ecological and conservation field methods.
Apart from an exceptional wildlife experience you will learn to use various techniques in field biology. Those can include
- small mammal life-trapping and identification
- bird identification, updating of species lists
- entomology: collection and processing of insects
- endangered species monitoring
- wildlife counting
- vegetation surveys
