Small mammals in Kuzikus Wildlife Reserve - diversity and richness

We will capture small mammals with live-traps for identification along transects. Like this we can also deduce habitat preferences and species composition, as well as obtain an index of relative abundance.

Studying small mammals over time can give us inferences about environmental change. We can study species richness and diversity correlating them to other taxonomic groups. In order to run this expedition, we need help of at least four volunteers - therefore you can apply together as a group also. With this project you gain experience in handling and manipulating small mammals too!
