Johanna Reinhard (MSc Zoology/Ecology)
Co-founder BRinK & Project Guide - BRinK General Management
Johanna grew up in Namibia, and therefore has lifelong experience in Africa. With 19, she went to study Zoology at the University of Edinburgh with the intention to benefit from the high-profile European education and then return to Africa and implement the knowledge. In Europe, she volunteered for several organisations and obtained a MSc degree in Ecology at the University of Zürich. With two friends from Edinburgh she founded BRinK. Johanna has an enourmous knowledge of the local wildlife and leads BRinK projects ranging from large mammals to tiny insects.

Alison Skeats (BSc (hons) Zoology)
Co-founder BRinK & Project Guide - BRinK Marketing & Sales
Alison was raised in the South of England with a ever great passion for animals and nature. She graduated in Edinburgh with a degree in Zoology. In Greece, Ali has the position of a monitoring leader for sea turtle conservation and is therefore an experienced guide in the field. In Africa, she leads projects on reptiles, birds and mammals. Ali is the editor and author of the BRinK Newsletter.

Joana Nunes (MSc Behavioural Ecology)
Co-founder BRinK & Project Guide - BRinK Administration
Joana comes from Portugal and studied Zoology in Edinburgh. With her enthusiasm and drive, she immediately joined BRinK. She undertook her MSc at the University of Exeter with a great interest in animal behaviour. She is involved in conservation work throuhout Europe and guides environmental field trips. In BRinK she runs projects on reptiles, tracking and animal behaviour.

Berend Reinhard (MSc Natural Resource Management)
Managing Director Kuzikus Wildlife Reserve
Berend was raised in Namibia. He also graduated at the University of Edinburgh with a Ecology degree and continued his studies with a Masters in Cranfield. He worked in an environmental consultant company in Switzerland. However his heart lies in Africa, so he returned and took the position of the general and wildlife manager in Kuzikus. He supports BRinK where he can, as he strongly believes in the concept of sustainability and biodiverstiy conservation. www.kuzikus-namibia.de

Matthieu de Carbonnel (PhD Plant Sciences)
BRinK Advisor & Project Guide
Matthieu grew up in France and studied Biology at the University of Edinburgh. He continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Lausanne. Matt has experience in the outdoors, as he undertook expeditions in Canada and Pensylvania. He is also a keen sportsman, having done the Polyathlon in the Swiss Alps. As he has travelled alot throughout the world, he is a great advisor for BRinK and leads projects in plant ecology.

Gose Gamativa (San)
BRinK Wildlife Tracker & Local Know-How
Gose is an invaluable expert of the bush and helps us with our BRinK-Projects. Gose orinially comes from the Caprivi from the North of Namibia - home to many big game species such as Elephants and Buffalos.

Friedrich Reinhard (PhD Student in Microbiology)
BRinK Advisor
Friedrich was raised in Namibia and studied at Edinburgh University. He continued his postgraduates between Nottingham, Bremen (Max Planck) and Lausanne. Currently he is doing his PhD in Microbiology. Like Matt, Fritz is a great sportsman and shares the passion for the outdoors, as he changed from a desert dweller to an alpinist.

Hiltrud & Dr. Friedrich Reinhard
Founders Kuzikus Wildlife Reserve - Local Know-How
Hiltrud and Dr. Reinhard transformed the farm into a wildlife reserve. Since 30 years they live in Africa and are heavily involved in nature conservation. With their experience, they are precious advisors to BRinK in Africa and wildlife matters.
Hiltrud is responsible for the endangered species programme in Kuzikus and is a specialist in Black Rhinos.
