The research camp is a simple bush camp with a small community of people. We live simply, under the sky, by candlelight. Occasionally, we leave base camp to stay in a fly camp deep in the bush to be able to reach places far out.

Daily research trips into the Kalahari biome will be primarily on foot so you will experience close contact with your surroundings and not disturb wildlife. On these trips, you will learn how to read tracks and signs of the bush, approach animals, survival skills and the all-important data collection for your project. ► BRinK Projects

Obviously we will work hard, but there is always time to relax!
Public awareness is an important part of our work. Therefore educating tourists will allow you to impart the knowledge you gain to others.
Alongside research, BRinK volunteres help with maintenance of the reserve. This can be physically demanding yet rewarding work. It may involve activities such as repairing the fence and waterholes, monitoring poaching, caring for horses or car mechanics. With this, research volunteers also gain insights into wildlife and farm management.
