BRinK is Biological Research in Kuzikus, a wildlife reserve and study site within the Kalahari Desert and a scientifically unexplored part of Namibia, Africa, with much to be discovered.
We are a newly established, small, not-for-profit conservation initiative that provides affordable and lasting research opportunities to scientists and volunteers to explore and document the wildlife in Kuzikus within the Kalahari - a wilderness region in the world. As biologists, our aim is to locally guarantee the protection of the area and globally encourage the protection of biodiversity. To promote nature conservation and research, we combine science with education through our research and public awareness programme reaching from the local to the regional and global level.
Supporting the international year of biodiversity, BRinK research projects are directly involved in wildlife reserve management, protecting Kalahari biodiversity. All projects are on-going, to document changes in the reserve over time, and to focus on and help protect the many rare species the reserve holds, such as the Black Rhino and the Cape Vulture.
